Our Chocolate love story

My passionate love affair with all things chocolate was instantaneous. Once my lips met this unforgettable, deep unique flavorful concoction, all my earthly troubles melted away. It was just me and chocolate. I was hooked and fully committed. Impersonators would try to imitate it's strength and greatness but none could compare. With so many imposters, I felt as though my true love had abandoned me. For every time I thought my love had returned, there was a fraudulent stand-by in it's place.  I thought I had fallen out of love with chocolate, we simply grew apart.

My mind was set on being unimpressed yet fondly reminiscing about the love affair I once had with chocolate, knowing in my heart of hearts that those days were far behind me, until a chef introduced me to the world of truffles. We talked for hours, for what seemed like minutes about cocoa nibs, tempering, enrobing, and ganache. The time had come to rekindle a relationship that had once brought such a euphoric happiness to my life.

Because of this, I was never a fan of brownies. They were either too sweet or lacked the chocolate flavor that I longed to touch my lips again. As I followed in the footsteps of my mother and great aunt, I felt it was only befitting to add my own touch my mother’s very popular recipe. I wanted to add my own twist to her already well known creations that was known around the surrounding states and southern region.

I added features of European chocolate truffles,  The Sacher Torte, along with a variety of three chocolates in every brownie.

This is not just a dessert, it’s an experience and I’m sure you will agree.

Confectionately Yours,

Bella Amour
